Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride

Carrie's second album has so far sold 3 million copies in the US. It has produced 4 #1 hits on the country charts - So small, All-American girl, Last name, Just a dream, and her remake of Randy Travis' I told you so is climbing up the charts. This cd sounds more country than her debut, but the formula remains the same. She's currently the most successful American Idol, and certainly my personal favourite.

Kristy Lee Cook - Why Wait

During her days on American Idol Season 7, she was the girl who sold her horse to make her trip for the audition. Audience fell in love with her. Somewhere along the way, after too much horse-talk, people got fed-up with her. A young singer with potential, unfortunately has to be content with this post-Idol offering, which hasn't produced a major hit yet. Pity, cause her voice has potential, if she were given better songs and better promotion, she would probably make it like Kellie Pickler. For the record, the rumour has it that the vocals were recorded in just 4 days. What would that tell you? Highlights include 15 minutes of shame and Like my mother does.
